Young Artists Program

The Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program, at University of Texas, is recognized by college and high school faculty as the premier high school solo voice training program in Texas.  The BOCYAP offers world-class training for talented high school and early college students. As featured in Classical Singer magazine, the curriculum includes individual voice instruction with the internationally acclaimed faculty of the Butler School of Music, as well as classes related to the art of singing. Included are sessions specifically designed to prepare young singers for the application and audition process for undergraduate music schools and professional young artist programs, as well as an art song competition. At the end of the program, students will perform a Solo and Opera Scenes Concert comprised of musical theater and opera scenes.
